What I meant by “single gang is enough” — a typical HD TV only requires a single HDMI cable to your receiver. HDMI carries audio AND video. All other peripherals (DVD, Blue-Ray, etc.) work best when plugged into your receiver and not directly into the TV. The only caveat with HDMI is that “big brother” can enforce DRM (digital rights mgt) across it. Supposedly, a new law is coming (2011?) that bans all newly-made DVD, BlueRay, etc, devices to ONLY offer HDMI out .. no more component video,etc

Great product – easy to install. Single Gang sleeve is enough since 1 HDMI carries audio+video. A few minor caveats: (1) the “ears” are plastic as are the threaded portion of the ears – BE CAREFUL not to strip by over-tightening. (2) Make sure you know where the studs are AND how wide they are. Conventional stud finders often suck at this task – use a thin nail and hammer to locate the exact edges of studs. Then, make sure to leave at least 1″ between the stud and the edge of the hole you make.
