I just brought a house that was built around the 60s. The antenna port for the TV was obviously an after thought because what I have is a ugly back cord hanging from the ceiling that is attached to the antenna in the roof.
Im wondering is there some (wireless) set up that will allow me remove this cord?
no unfortunately u have to have this wire connected straight into the tv or a set top box .
the only thing which can send wireles signals is a wireless video sender but tht needs to be hooked up to one tv to send the picture to the other tv

I second the above. An antenna technician would able to relocate the cable to the wall cavity and install a proper wall plate. However, if your antenna is as old as the house, it may be time to consider replacing the entire setup in any case.

I am sure they would come up with such device, but due to situations like weather and wind is probably why they do not have something like that.
